VR Shinecon 3D remains Shinecon – and that means something positive. When we first saw this robust looking VR Shinecon 3D VR glasses We were really impressed by the simple and solid workmanship. With a price of less than € 29, we actually didn’t expect such a device. We opened the flap at the front and were able to clamp our smartphone very well. The position of the smartphone was easy to adjust so that we could adjust the partition between the two lenses specifically to the line in the VR apps.

And then the fun started – put on the glasses, started VR apps, moved through the levels with the remote control and we didn’t even want to consider removing the VR glasses. So our first impression became an “impression”. In the other hours of testing, we didn’t have to change our minds either. So we can conclude that the VR-Shinecon has the following qualities:

  • Solid workmanship, no frills
  • Comfortable, adjustable head strap
  • The distances between the lenses can be adjusted
  • The distances between the smartphone and the lenses could be adjusted very easily
  • Suitable for smartphones between 3.5 and 6 inches ( we researched the most suitable smartphones here )

VR Shinecon new version – what’s different?

There’s been one for not too long New Shinecon VR glasses – a little update. As with the ELEGIANT Universal 3D VR There were type 1 and type 2, it is similar with the Shinecon. One of the biggest changes to the new version is the position of the distance controllers . When using the Shinecon, it is not so easy to reach these controls by hand, as they are now on the top of the glasses. We experienced this problem a few times with previous versions of the Shinecon and had to be careful where we move our hands. This is a clear advantage with the new version.

In terms of functionality, however, nothing has changed. Fortunately, the tried and tested principle of “inserting a smartphone” has remained the same. The head strap got a little update: The connecting piece on the top of the skull is now a little more solid and helps with a more individual adjustment of the strap lengths. So no head should go empty now.

Where can I find the QR code for the VR Shinecon 3D?

As with the Elegiant or Pasonomi, unfortunately we could not find a QR code in the description or on a website for the VR Shinecon 3D, as well as for the VR Shinecon 2.0. But our tech professionals at VR Junkies have often had to answer these questions. So we have a little solution for you: VR Shinecon QR code

No magnetic switch? No problem!

You have to somehow “click” in the, especially in the Google Cardboard app. Very annoying when you have to constantly open your glasses and slide your finger into them. The VR Shinecon 3D and the VR Shinecon 2.0 do not have this magnetic switch either. What is the solution?

Some glasses have an integrated magnetic switch. Actually a good solution because you don’t need any additional remote control – “actually”. When using VR glasses with magnetic switches, we have found that it is very tedious to always have your hand on the glasses. Based Our tech specialists have devised a special workaround, how to retrofit a magnetic switch (see Retrofit VR glasses with a magnetic switch[Lösung] ).

Nevertheless, it is still the most comfortable when you can control your apps with a remote control in your hand. Google did the same with its new one Daydream View recognized. We therefore recommend: The good old remote control: VR glasses remote control
