iPhone X – For the 10th anniversary, Apple has launched the iPhone X. Its their first time a smartphone with AMOLED display and notch on the market – how good is it really?

iPhone X – No more buttons, almost borderless design
The iPhone X has caused astonished faces when it became known that the previously existing button has been omitted and the smartphone is almost borderlessly filled by an AMOLED display.
In addition, Apple gave the iPhone X a so-called “Notch”, so a cut-out display on the top of the phone. As was already the case with the Essential Phone (amazon), the front of the smartphone can be filled even more with the screen, while leaving room for the front camera, sensors and speakers.

Again a “pixel density dilemma”?
Apple is known for not relying on Virtual Reality, so they do not use high-resolution displays for their iPhones. But compared to the predecessor models, Apple has improved here anyway and offers a pixel density of about 458 ppi.
Like all other Apple phone at their time, the iPhone X is also equipped with a very fast processor and ensures comfortable speeds in everyday life and in complex apps.
Is the Apple iPhone X suitable for VR? Well, 458 ppi…
The aforementioned 458 ppi are not really enough for a great VR experience. From our experice we know that 500 ppi for virtual reality is best perceived.
A positive feature is the AMOLED display, which is less “blurred” at fast head movements than ordinary LCD displays.
