Google Pixel 3 XL – Google’s new flagship has in contrast to the small model (Pixel 3) on relatively large Notch. Otherwise small updates compared to the previous model, no dual camera, but still extremely good photos. What makes the Google Pixel 3 XL so special? Is it good for VR?
As with the Google Pixel 2 XL, the Google Pixel 3 XL is again a relatively small hardware update. It has been brought back to the current state of things, which is by no means negative. The only thing Google does not follow is the number of camera lenses. Google sticks to a lens and wants to rely on artificial intelligence instead of hardware solutions.

The first Google Pixel were all pleased that Google finally brings a smartphone on the market, where really the hardware and software comes from a single source. Nevertheless, one wonders whether the look of the smartphone, whether the design was saved.
The positive is definitely that the pure Android system is used and you are supplied with updates for a very long time. Otherwise, the Google Pixel 3 XL has a feature. which does not quite match the top models of the competition (Snapdragon 845, 4 GB Ram).
Improved display on the Google Pixel 3 XL
The display of the Google Pixel 3 XL is superior to the Pixel 2 XL. The contents can be seen very well in sunlight on the P-OLED display, thanks to the high display brightness. The colors are also strong and rich in contrast. Compared to the smaller version (Google Pixel 3) we find here a higher display resolution and at the same time a higher pixel density. This is about 523 ppi in contrast to the 443 ppi of the smaller model, which is very positive for VR. The Pixel 3 XL has a very large Notch compared to the Pixel 3, but the display edge is narrower at the top.
Google Pixel 3 XL and VR?
Since Google has proven to be VR with Google Cardboard, Google Daydream and Google Daydream View, this question is actually superfluous, actually. As mentioned earlier, the pixel density of the Google Pixel 3 XL is over 500 ppi and thus ensures a sharp picture in VR.
