Strangely enough, many are talking about an unbelievable innovation here. In reality, it goes back to the design of the iPhone 5, which is one of the most elegant designs. This is a huge plus point for the new iPhone 12 and it stands out again noticeably from other brands. In addition, the bezels of the display have been reduced, which increases the screen-to-body ratio to 86.0% (which is still not very much).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The front consists of a new variant of the gorilla glass, which reduces cracks and scratches. The incredible ugly notch on top has remained incredibly ugly. You can only use Face-Unlock because there is no fingerprint scanner. Extremely practical when you are in the dark or wearing a mask (for the current pandemic). Winter resistance has gotten better. It can now withstand up to 6 meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A completely new feature is &#8220;Magsafe&#8221;, with which you can magnetically attach accessories to the back, such as: B. a pocket for credit cards or the charging station for wireless charging. Resolution a little better<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In contrast to the iPhone 11, Apple now uses a so-called &#8220;XDR OLED&#8221; display, which can be quite bright (approx. 630 nits), which is noticeable in sunlight. The colors are vivid and the contrasts very good. Above all, the black is displayed really black. Apple users can finally enjoy what Samsung has been able to do since 2012. With a size of 6.1 inches and a resolution of 1170&#215;2532 pixels, this results in a pixel density of 460 ppi (465 ppi calculated on 6 inches). Unfortunately, 5G reduces the battery life enormously, which reduces the resolution of the display in order to save resources. This can also be seen in the Galaxy S20 (Samsung Galaxy S20: 563 ppi; Samsung Galaxy S20 5G: 407 ppi). In fact, Apple isn&#8217;t doing that badly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can find out why pixel density is so relevant here:<a href=\"https:\/\/vr-junkies.com\/de\/vr-brillen-aufloesung\"> Smartphone pixel density<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>camera<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of the camera, not much has changed since its predecessor. The main camera is a 12 MP camera and there is also a 12 megapixel wide-angle camera. With this model, however, the photos are better in the dark (night mode). The selfies get extremely good too, even the portraits. Otherwise, as always with iPhones, there is not much to complain about. The photos have a lot of details, portraits look beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Sound<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like its predecessor, the iPhone 12 has stereo speakers that emit a very good and loud sound. There is of course no headphone connection (Apple invented this great feature). An adapter is of course not included (just like the power supply unit). Very annoying if you would like to sell your previous smartphone with accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Is the Apple iPhone 12 suitable for VR?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The size and performance thanks to the Apple A14 Bionic (5 nm) and the Apple GPU (4-core graphics) fit very well. Even the display could be used reasonably well on the iPhone 12, although the resolution of 1170&#215;2532 pixels is not the best. Still, it&#8217;s nice that Apple has finally installed a reasonably good display.
